On January 6, 2019, Knobbelboy confirmed this level as "God Eater," and it was classified Epic-Extreme Demon on the same day.

On January 22, 2019, God Eater was put at #36 on the Geometry Dash Demonlist, above Asmodeus (#37) and below SubSonic (#35), while Astral Divinity was placed at #63 on December 30, 2019, above SINGULARITY (#64) and below Audio Expulsion (#62).

Astral Divinity's entry to the Demonlist pushed Mystic into the Extended List and Volume onto the Legacy List.

The name "God Eater" derives from Shift's Japanese RPG game of the same name.

God Eater is one of five levels that were dragged to the Demonlist's bottom. Entwined Room, DoomsDay, lezicuv, and Sadism are the others.
