Geometry Dash Solar Circles by D4rkGryf is a popular Medium Demon level rated at 10 stars, it is a remake of the infamous Nine Circles level. While the level retains the triple-speed wave sections, it deviates from the traditional dubstep music that is often used in Nine Circles levels. Instead, it features an electronic dance song that is more upbeat and fast-paced. The level's design is moderately detailed with orange-colored and sun-like decorations that are reminiscent of solar flares. The design is somewhat classical but not overly complicated, which makes it easier for players to focus on the gameplay rather than the visuals. Despite the number of tricks that are present in the level, some players consider it to be more of an Easy Demon.

Gameplay

Solar Circles begins with a moderately difficult cube segment in half-speed that features numerous fake lines and troll orbs. This section requires decent memorization to navigate through successfully. After the first cube segment, the player enters a normal-speed ship sequence with a handful of simple tricks. The ship sequence is followed by an easy ball segment with a few tricks that are relatively simple.

When the beat drops, the player enters the traditional triple-speed Nine Circles wave segment. The wave section presents easy parts to the player alternated with slightly harder parts. The level does not require too many mashing skills but focuses more on reflexes due to somewhat awkward timing. The two dual parts, mixed sizes and normal, may be considered the hardest parts of the entire level. The level then continues with a tricky cube segment that is similar to the first one. After the creator's name, the level ends.

Trivia

  • Solar Circles contains a total of 12,944 objects, which is a testament to the creator's attention to detail.
  • The level is also 1m 5s in length, which is typical for most Nine Circles levels.
  • Interestingly, this is the final Demon ever created in 1.9, which makes it a piece of Geometry Dash history.
  • D4rkGryf, the creator of the level, has also made two other Nine Circles levels: Robotic Wave (easier remake of Sonic Wave, deleted) and the unrated Solar Circles XII (obviously inspired by Nine Circles XII).
