Gameplay

yStep has relatively uncomplicated gameplay. The level starts with a challenging cube section. Trampolines and spheres are used to leap over spikes. In addition, you must leap on the pillars. The backdrop will soon change color, and the stage will become more intricate. A quick and simple ball stage follows. You must click on the spheres to avoid tripping over the spikes. However, this period is rather brief. Then you transform into a cube. You have to maneuver past spikes and other obstacles using spheres, which makes it a bit more tough.

You momentarily turn into a ball. The level is simple. With the assistance of spheres, you can avoid obstacles. The ship stage follows, which requires you to avoid spike clusters and other hazards. Gravity will alter from time to time. This level is similar to the Cycles level. You transform back into a ball.
