Spider Solitaire is a popular single-player card game that is played using two decks of cards. The objective of the game is to remove all the cards from the table by building columns of cards in descending order, regardless of suit. The game is won when all the cards are removed from the table.
To play Spider Solitaire, start by dealing 10 cards face down in a row, and then deal another row of six cards on top of the first row, with the top card facing up. Repeat this process for five more rows, with the final row containing only one card facing up. The remaining cards are placed in a draw pile.
To move cards in the game, you can only move cards that are face up and can be moved onto a card that is one rank higher in value, and of the opposite color. For example, a black 7 can be placed on a red 8. A card can only be moved onto another card if the cards above it in the same column are also in descending order and of alternating colors.
Tips and Tricks
- Plan ahead - Think ahead to which cards you will need to move to achieve your goal, and try to leave cards that will help you in the endgame.
- Empty columns - Try to create empty columns as soon as possible, as they can be used to move any card.
- Move sequences - Try to move long sequences of cards as they will allow you to free up more cards.
